Wojtek,the soldier bear......

A bit of a change of scenery this morning.
Once I'd been round all the cows, got a lift into Edinburgh with Mrs F. She was meeting Littlemiss off the train at Waverley. I had a bit of business to do at the Clydesdale Bank. Now called Virgin,no local branches left, and a fancy big ' store' , not branch,in George Street.
Once everything was sorted, walked back up to Causway side to meet Mrs F and Littlemiss who were out at one of their favourite coffee shops.
To avoid the hoards of tourists, made a detour along Princes St Gardens and up George the IV bridge. Spotted this statue which honours this bear who was made a private in the army during WW2.
Then in extras, another big statue and Greyfriars Bobby with his poor shiny nose.
Back home and back down the road to feed heifers then home to check calving cows. Not raining, but it's going to take a few days for crops to dry out enough to combine.
We live in hope ......
