Ryvoan Bothy

We awoke to sunshine this morning!! It was beautiful, but still chilly enough to warrant putting thermals on for a walk.  There was some rain due at lunch so we planned a not super taxing and lower level walk to the green loch and Ryvoan bothy.  Not a walk we'd done before but it was beautiful.

Once we reached the bothy there were some cracking views of the Cairngorms that gave me really itchy feet about wanting to get up higher, bu then the rain and the wind came and we made the right decision, heading back down into Glenmore for a hot chocolate.

We planned to have tea at the Pine Marten bar, which turned out to be full, tried Glenmore lodge but they don't serve food to non-residents anymore and ended up at Cheese and Tomatin in Aviemore which was actually pretty good. 

Slightly annoyed that we missed the spetacular northern lights display which happened overnight.
