The hard shoulder !

I had a blowout on the M6 motorway on my way south early afternoon . So the plans of a walk in Arley Gardens were scrapped :-(
Thankfully I was in the inside lane if the M6 . The car lost its steering temporarily which was really scary.
I was able to pull into the hard shoulder , put the hazard warning lights on then climb over the barrier
and then scrambled through stinging nettles and brambles to get to the box that gives your position on the motorway.
It was so noisy on the motorway that I had to shout down the phone to get heard. I still have post Covid huskiness in my voice. Thankfully I have Greenflag recovery so there was a helpful chap with me within 45 mins. I had to drive much slower , 50mph as it was the spare tyre . When I got to Warrington I had a cuppa and a sandwich and then we went to get a new tyre. What an exhausting experience.

It’s my son’s 27th birthday today … well at 7.09pm this evening. He had a bad day at work so was feeling low. He’s working in palliative care which can be tough going.
I’ve brought vegetarian haggis for supper with my partner and his parents along with home grown potatoes ( tatties) and swede ( neeps) . One of my favourites . We have an early start tomorrow 4.45 am.
