Moving on to Wells and beyond
Yesterday was magnificent, two superb cathedral's, wonderful B&B accommodation and an excellent evening meal.
The same can not be said of today. The exception to the days disappointments was Wells (in Somerset) cathedral. Of all those we have visited so far, over a dozen now, this is the standout one. The architecture inside is so fine it takes your breath away, so light and airy it was quite magical.
The cathedral can be seen in the background of the blip, the main subject being Vicars Close, a street of houses the guide claimed to be the oldest residential street in the UK. Don't know he was right but with all those tall chimneys it certainly was very photogenic
Off again tomorrow ending up in Wales, the same time as Storm Agnes arrives. Could be fun.
