More bicycling

We said goodbye to our bicycles this evening but not before we had a gentle morning cycle to the port town of La Flotte. Like Saint Martin it has a beautiful large square surrounded by cafes and restaurants, and a harbour side with lighthouse. We wandered the streets and cycled home for lunch.

This afternoon we rested for a few hours and then cycled in the gentle sunshine on the quiet back streets through vineyards and small villages, and saw orchards filled with bee hives.

We’ve had a relaxing evening wandering the town to catch the last of the sun and eat another ice cream. The local ice cream parlour sells about 50 flavours so it’s proving tempting to sample as many as possible!

My blip shows Andy outside our accommodation with our bicycles - we were sad to let them go as they were comfortable and reliable, and we’ve had such fun exploring the island on them.

Hoping your day has been kind to you.
