Robots in the shed

My B in L (R) built this huge fellow several years ago for halloween and the local youngsters, he has just given it a revamp for this year. He has more time at the moment and has spent hours bringing him back up to scratch this last week. Just before we left he set the fellow up with the lights and moving parts switched on along with the voice of Orson Wells reading War of the Worlds - not sure what the visiting kids will think of that. Anyway we are mightily impressed!

This afternoon we attended my uncles funeral, Miserdon church was packed with a wonderful service and wake, so many people to catch up with, cousins and second cousins, I didn’t want it to end. I could write pages about the chat although best spare you from that. I learnt more about the family, partly that the crest shown was found damaged and recently repaired and placed above the stone plaque on the wall for grandfather. Very emotional.
The last in our family of that generation, this left many of us with a strange feeling.

My sister and husband joined us for an Indian meal in Bath Road before saying goodbye. We headed off to spend the night with friend C, very hard to say goodbye to her and my family.
I am posting this the next day on the M6, I hope.
