Murky
SWMBO and I took a trip further out west and into the middle of nowhere this morning.
It wasn't the best of days and we couldn't the the tops of most of the turbines.
We went out to the 'local' timber merchants.
He sources trees, 'planks' them, dries them and sells the timber (which he doesn't turn into very high end furniture).
At the moment he is selling off 'off-cuts & rubbish' which have been hanging around in his kiln as 'weight' to prevent the planks from flexing during the drying process.
I went to see what small bits of burr I could get - and I was very good and only bought half a dozen small bits (Sweet chestnut, Elm, Yew, Beech...) and some finishing oil. I was being very good. It was nice and cheap - and then I got a discount. Bonus!
On the way back home I stopped and took a picture of the abandoned car (in the extras box). It has been there for 6 weeks and obviously the local rozzers fail to check/drive round the industrial estates as there is no 'police aware' sticker on it (it wouldn't have happened in my day!).
I have reported it to the Council - so let's see if they are any better at doing something about it.
After lunch I 'got the call' to see if I could collect some food from the same store I was at on Tuesday.
Not a problem.
We headed out and used the motorway to see if that cuts down the mileage. What it did cut down on was vision ....... the spray was terrible. After dropping the stuff off tomorrow I will know which route is shorter.
