The path ahead

Woke at 4.00am, failed to get back to sleep, and eventually got out of bed to write a carefully worded email to our solicitor. At the end of last week, the Buyers' solicitor had suggested 10th October as completion date for the sale of our flat in Wooler. We learned, late yesterday afternoon, that she now has two more queries for the RSPCA's solicitor that will inevitably hold things up considerably, especially as he is on holiday until the 9th. So absolutely no prospect of completion on the 10th. The queries are ridiculous, and if the Buyers' solicitor had read the documents she already has, she'd know the answers!

Joined MrM on a walk by Langsett Reservoir this afternoon, through the woods one way, and back by open fields. Very pleasant, and we're planning to go back to do some of the longer walks there.

Jazz Club in Huddersfield in the evening, the best one so far. Rod Mason, the saxophonist, was on great form!
