Woodland Textures
The fungi are finally starting to make more of a presence, though apart from the ubiquitous earthball I am having a struggling to identify most of them.
The extra is possibly one of the shields (pluteaceae) but I love the way it is growing out of a hole from the base of a lost twig in a decaying tree trunk.
However, for Ingeborg's Abstract Thursday challenge I have chosen this as yet unknown baby mushroom squeezing out of a gap between the bark and what looks like mould covered core of another decaying tree trunk. I love the textures, and of course you need to look large to appreciate them.
