Wast Water

With the promise of some fairly good weather W offered to drive us to Wast Water via Wrynose and Hardknot Passes. I've driven the passes once and had forgotten how breathtaking and scary they were, but what fabulous views (extras).

The forecast was for "wall to wall sun" but in the event there was more than enough cloud around to give our shots interest. It was also the first time I've really been able to get the sort of shots I was looking for from  my 16mm ultra wide angle  lens, and was particularly pleased with this one.

We finished up at Waterhead at the top end of Windermere for a drink and some sunset shots (extra)
