Indian Summer

I know that it has been 25 degrees today as the coconut oil that I anoint Mishka's elbows with has been liquid. Had to put the lid on sharpish as she loves it and would drink it.

Nice to see a common darter dragonfly. I've chosen this shot as it shows the wing venation nicely.

I haven't seen much of the blackbirds all summer. Lovely to see the female feasting on sloes. Not many fruits in this garden this year as they have been affected by pocket plum fungus.

The tide has more or less gone out on the Sea of Blue annuals that I sowed in early summer. Just a few ageratum flowers left being enjoyed by a common spotted field syrph.
