Rainbow ukuleles
Last night I went to see the new musical about Twiggy, written by Ben Elton, at the Menier Chocolate Factory Theatre near Tower Bridge. It was good fun with lots of music etc from the 60’s and 70’s and very good choreography while charting her life as a model and then as a singer/ performer. This resulted in a late night as the train home was delayed so feeling tired today!
Before that we made a brief visit to see the new exhibits in the Turbine Hall at Tate Modern as I had read a rave review in a newspaper. We were not so impressed….maybe we did not ‘get it’ …see extras. This is made of bottle tops and bits of aluminium can wired together. It must have taken the artist so long to do as it’s huge.
Today I went for a bike ride and saw/ heard lots of stags roaring in the park.
This afternoon we took the grandchildren to the music shop after school to buy a ukulele each…there are so many colours and sizes. They probably look like guitars in the photo but are actually much smaller and only have four strings. They chose a bright blue and a bright green. Lots of excitement so let’s hope they make a good effort to learn to play.
