In the consulting room.

I went to “The Optician” early this afternoon for an overdue free NHSScotland eye test, the appointment made two days ago. The examination was professionally done, as aye. It took place in the optometrist’s consulting room and several other areas of the shop. She comprehensively explained my results, and made recommendations. My next appointment is in 12 months. My wife and I spent quite a wee while afterwards with a member of the dispensing team, discussing current lens options and looking at some of the frames. This was helpful, albeit I didn’t come to a conclusion. I’ll make an appointment soon to progress matters.

Afterwards, we went for a late afternoon walk in the park. It was crisp, and autumnal.

In the morning I spent some time refurbishing the bird table. It’s been in the garage drying out for the last 10 days.
