Easter Island Statue… Or
…. The Roaches?
The Roaches is a prominent rocky ridge above Leek and Tittesworth Reservoir in the Staffordshire Peak District of England.
There are a few ‘noticeable’ formations here, one is the well-known ‘Winking Man’, who looks more like the Cat in the Hat these days, though still just about winking. My favourite is this one, who seems to give a wry grin. Pareidolia R Us :-)
When we do a ‘Big Shop’ (rare these days) our nearest supermarket of choice takes us past these rocks. When the sky is as blue as it’s been today it’s hard not to take a photo.
One of the Elderlies is having a birthday soon and I’ve been baking.
Another four years to the Century.
(Sadly, this is not, in my opinion, the quality of life that we would wish for anyone, but this is what it is….).
