Ready for next year!

I went to the allotment this morning and brought home the runner bean pods that had been drying in the shed.
One of the grandchildren enjoyed taking them out of the pods! 
They are a variety called ‘Wisley Magic’ which I have grown for many years and have always saved the bean seeds. 

It was only 6C but nice and sunny when I went out at 9am. Not much warmer all day. Our heating came on as the thermostat is set for 19C so it was less than that indoors.

The family came to lunch and after they left we watched England beat Fiji at rugby.
