Cressage Bridge and Sabrina
Thank you for yesterday’s comments about the blip, eulogy and funeral. Sad though the occasion was I’m sure that mourners were content that we’d given Margaret a send-off she would have approved of!
Back home now in Kent. To say it was not the best of journeys would be a terrible understatement. It was one of those trips where the weather and traffic got worse and worse as we travelled south and the ETA slipped inexorably back. Thankful to once again get home safely.
We in packed a few things in before leaving for home. A walk around the Severn at Shrewsbury around the Quarry and the Dingle, down to the weir and back through the town. Shrewsbury has a wonderful collection of buildings and houses which are always great to look at. The town is only spoilt by the brutalist Market Building and the incongruous pile spoiling the Market Square.
We stopped at Attingham Hall for lunch and a further stroll to the walled garden and alongside the gentle River Tern.
Today’s blip is of Sabrina from the grounds of our B&B with Cressage Bridge and the Wrekin. Isn’t this the most perfect of spots? And the hosts are quite wonderful. It’s a new favourite place
