Rescue in slow time

I walked by the canal this morning and there was a situation where a narrow boat needed a rescue from the "Towage and Steerage " company (see extra). It was all very considered, getting two narrow boats through the lock needed patience, the lock is only long enough for one boat..  Once through he lock they reconnected the tow rope and were on their way to the next lock. All reminiscent of an earlier age and a complete contrast to the madness that is going on in much of the world this week.
