Morning light

It was a cool start to the day, but the morning sun was accenting the autumn colour beautifully this morning, as I went into the bathroom, so I took a quick shot on my iPhone, in case I didn’t come across anything better. We were heading south today, driving down to Atlanta Georgia to visit Jen and Jason, and Laura will be joining us later in the week. We were later getting up than we intended, and it was close to 11 am before we finally got off. This was our first long trip in our new Tesla. We ended up having to stop to charge more often than we thought - having the bikes on the back wouldn’t help - but all the charging stations are mapped out well on the screen, and of course Roger had done his homework before hand, but it does take quite a bit longer than just filling up with petrol! It was a gorgeous day for the drive, especially going through the mountains in Tennessee, where the colours were spectacular. We had some slow traffic due to road works in Kentucky, but otherwise it went pretty well. We finally got to Jen and Jason’s about 9 pm, where Jason had made some delicious home made pizza and salad, and a wonderful Pumpkin and ginger cake for dessert.
