Entering Tennessee
Monday
We are off for a few days to celebrate my birthday week with Jen in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It was a beautiful day for a drive, starting cool first thing, but warming up nicely. We were on the road about 9.30. We stopped to give the Tesla a charge in Lexington, and enjoyed a coffee and bagel from Panera while we waited. The Fall colours through the higher regions in Kentucky were just gorgeous. The journey went well except for a long delay around Knoxville where the I-75 was down to one lane over a bridge - must have been at least 45 minutes! My blip was taken at the welcome center, entering Tennessee.
We reached our AirBnb apartment in Chattanooga about 6.15. It took us a while to figure out how to get in to the outer door and the inner door - her instructions could have been a bit clearer! After bringing our stuff in, we had a cup of tea while looking on our phones for somewhere to eat. Jen will be joining us tomorrow - it’s only a two and a half hour drive for her from Atlanta - Chattanooga is almost on the Georgia border - so she’ll be with us about 11am. I’m having to do this from my phone, since I forgot to pack my iPad!
