Heron

Today's the day . . . . . . . . . for wildlife

I've hardly strayed from our front door here in Lamlash, but I'm spoilt for choice in what to blip today, such has been the variety of wildlife along the shore of the bay.

A number of seals have kept us company all day - together with cormorants, ducks, oystercatchers, curlews (see extra) to name but a few.  There has always been at least one heron, if not more, patiently waiting to pounce on a tasty morsel.

And they don't seem at all bothered by their proximity to humans . . . . . . . . . !
