Warm, sunny day. JS came round and we walked up to Trent Bridge and along the Embankment to the coffee shop. The river was very high- normally there would be a couple of steps, a paved path and a wide strip of grass before the benches you can see on the left bank in the photo. Walked back through the memorial gardens snd over the suspension bridge- lots of cyclists and pedestrians about. Had a very late
lunch whenI got back and a sit down with the cats. Billie has a big lump on her bottom lip again so think I’ll be off to the vets with her tomorrow. Cleared out the last of the Cosmos in the garden- it had been very battered by the rain- and weeded that bed ready for planting. Was just starting to do that when we had a heavy shower of rain so went inside and did the ironing.
