Hahaha. £1.25!!

This is my local post box, just around the corner. As you see it’s quite jolly, and really a perfectly pleasant neighbour.
But don’t waste your time, or your £1.25 stamp, on putting anything in its mouth. My card for my friend’s birthday, posted on July 14th, still hasn’t arrived in London. And my ‘Happy in you New Home’ card sent to my nephew, took 12 days to go two miles. So I’m not fooled by its friendly face anymore.
In other news, I had an eye test, I need new glasses, and my cataract isn’t ready to be referred for surgery, even though I can no longer drive in the dark. Lucky I live in a place with (some) buses. I need to learn how to do Uber. Taxis have not been in my life till now - but I think I need to start.
