Small Steps

Reading an article today about a summit being held next week at Bletchley Park with major countries, world leaders, academics, tech bosses and researchers to discuss how to maximise the benefits yet minimise the potential risks of Artificial Intelligence.

Something that is going to affect us all at some point in the future!

Bletchley Park  is not far from us and we have visited a few times recently. I also went there for a job interview and a training course back in the day when I was working for BT, as they used the buildings there for a number of years.

Reading through this article with interest one leading light suggested a registration scheme might be a way forward to ensure AI is used for good and pioneering purposes rather than for ‘not such beneficial’ means. But also suggested that the two day summit is unlikely to produce anything that advanced yet and that ‘small steps’ should be taken that can be implemented quickly.

Hence my blip. Small steps by a tiny person, who happens to be standing on my Bletchley Park keyring :-)
