Camellia
Because we live across the river from a nuclear power plant, every 10 years, the county dispenses potassium iodide tablets to each citizen in the “danger” range. Hubby went to collect our new ones first thing this morning. They gave him a “goodie bag” with a blanket, back pack, aluminum water bottle, etc. I filled the bird feeders, noticed the beautiful Camilla blossoms and grabbed my phone. Renee gave us homemade beef vegetable soup last night. It is a bit too “tomatoey” for me. I added beef stock, mixed veggies, potatoes, celery and onion. It will provide dinner for probably three days. I also made chicken salad and cleaned the kitchen. Otherwise, I worked on ordering Christmas gifts. Hubby cut the grass and scooped up fallen leaves after he weed whacked some of my liriope. We will go to 5:00 Mass and our evening will be free. I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Stay safe. Thanks for the visit. “My job, challenges, and simple things like waking up, going to my patio, and seeing that an hibiscus or a camellia opened during the night. It just makes me happy.” - Pom Klementieff
