Milkweed seed pod

The weather was sunny and a little warmer today, and we got out for an afternoon walk at Long Branch Farm and trails. There were several cars in the car park, but we didn’t see many people on the trails we chose to do. There seemed to be more leaves down there than in our neighbourhood, - it was hard to make out the trails in some places. I was tossing up between this shot of the milkweed seed pod and the distinctive Osage orange fruit for my blip, so I’ve put the Osage orange, otherwise known as hedge apple or “monkey brain’” in as an extra.
