St Bees

Pouring with rain most of today! Unusual for Cumbria ( ! )
We went to St Bees intending to walk about five miles around St Bees head taking in a look at the lighthouse there. In the end we just went to the lighthouse in the rain and scuttled back to the car again. 
 After a charge up and some food shopping at Booths we’re huddled in the cottage in the warmth.
There’s an amber alert for the Aurora tonight but it’s cloudy again  I think. But then we thought that last night and missed John Gravett’s alert that the lights were strong.
