nothing gold can stay

Beautiful light today! You can see how the afternoon sunshine lit up the cherry tree. I did some gardening and moved some split logs to the woodshed.

In the afternoon, Jess and I went for a forest walk - we met Karen and her wee dog Daisy.

There have been lots of photos online of last night’s aurora. I realise now that the long pink linear cloud I saw was a STEVE (www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-67331747 - very exciting! The chance of a repeat performance tonight looks low but in the next year, the solar maximum will mean that we will have an increased chance to see the aurora (when there are clear skies!)
