Mallard #69

We had a lovely couple of hours at Martin Mere this afternoon. We were really lucky and saw the kingfisher briefly once again, but I don't know what happened to my settings as I didn't have one usable shot that I was happy with. Never mind, it was just fabulous to be able to witness this beautiful bird. Therefore, we have Mrs Flappy Mallard instead as I liked the light on her wings - shame she wouldn't turn around though.
We stayed until they fed the birds at 3pm which was quite frantic with hundreds of ducks, geese and swans coming in to get an easy meal. It's cool to watch.
