Coop's Lead Pipe and Shot Factory

This tower was used to produce lead shot.  When pouring a stream of molten lead down from the top apparently it breaks neatly into spherical shot.  It became a Melbourne landmark.  The rest of the buildings around it were knocked down to build a new station and shopping centre, but this one was preserved - they even build a special glass spire to showcase and protect the tower.  Lovely.

Arrived in Sydney this morning. Connecting flight to Melbourne.  Checked in to my hotel and went for a walk.  There are a few extras today too.
