A better day

Managed to get the pool equipment set up but discovered one joint was loose. As it takes 24 hours for the repair to harden couldn't use the wonderful sunny day to start heating. Hopefully tomorrow's test will prove successful.
Rest of the day with the petrol strimmer attacking the weeds. After 6 hours still not finished and probably another 6 hours needed (includes a field without hedges & totally reliant on electric fence which has to be grass free)

So a good day & as I came in at 21:15 saw the sky turn red behind me & quickly grabbed camera as I hadn't had time during the day. The English saying about a red sky at night works just as well here in Bavaria.....

Might interest some: Germany's ARD TV the equivalent of the BBC showed live as every year, the trooping of the colour. The German commentator has been reporting on the Royals since 1978 and despite being 76, turns up twice a year, for the Trooping and the last night of the Proms and naturally for weddings , jubilees etc. He was awared the CBE & is more English than most Englishmen. Never ceases to amuse me how he speaks German in what one can only describe as Queen's English. By the way, congratulations Sir Baldrick and of course Mr. Blackadder.
