Bb in Bazaar, Madrid, for Lunch
We both had coffee in our room in the morning, using our wee travel kettle. Bb did a little work and I watched the plenary session of the IH London conference, delivered by RA, an ex colleague from Cairo. Really interesting.
We headed to Calle Libertad with half a thought of catching a lunchtime concert in Cafe Libertad 8, but the timing didn’t work out. We enjoyed walking around the Chueca area though, with a huge array of restaurants on Calle Libertad and popped in to see the Mercado de San Anton, not a traditional food market, but more like a market with lots of very nice food stalls and seating areas and even a roof terrace - see 4th extra. We had lunch in Restaurant Bazaar on Calle Libertad. More wandering back to our own area in the evening. We had a nightcap and toast with garlic prawns (delicious!) in our ‘local’ place, 3rd extra, on Plaza Opera. Great weather, cold but blue skies and sunny.
