Produce

Definitely a bit frosty overnight (car windscreens outside), but after the sun had been out for a while we went up to the allotment. Dave fed the blighters and I sowed the Aquadulce (broad bean) seeds. Thought a pic of the bare earth where I sowed them would be a little dull, so went round checking out the wee corners where there are things still growing (or persisting) that we may at some stage eat.
From top left, clockwise: curly kale, plus leeks and a few spring cabbage seedlings; then more tiny leeks and spring cabbage, plus something beyond (endive? carrots?); then some fennel, cavalo nero and more tiny leeks; then rainbow chard, purple sprouting, and I think there's a single brussels sprout plant in there.

The leeks are so tiny Waitrose would market them as baby veg and charge a premium, I'm sure.

In other news, we ate this years small pumpkin for tea!
