Back lit leaf
Tuesday
Another beautiful sunny day. It was Knitting fellowship this morning, first time we’d met in two months, since the October meeting was cancelled after the sudden death of our leader Joan’s husband, Bob. So it was quite an emotional meeting, not just for Joan, but also for Pam, another regular member of our group, who had just lost her only sister, also suddenly, a few days previous. On the other hand, we also celebrated with Dee, who had recently celebrated her 95th birthday! She’s still quite “with it” and continues to knit away. She uses a walker to get around, and she doesn’t drive any more, so is dependent upon her son or daughter in law to bring her, but other than that, you’d never believe she was that age! We had a huge amount to bless, Charma had brought in about 30-40 baby hats, as per usual, Pam had been knitting up a storm in prayer shawls - she’d completed 6, Joan had knitted about 8 children’s hats, and another lady, about 10 children’s scarves!
Roger and I had decided to skip Music Live at Lunch this week, and instead went for a bike ride, heading south from Camp Dennison. However, for some reason, I was feeling extremely sluggish today, and really struggled to make 10 miles return! I had meant to take a picture of all the completed knitting projects this morning, but the timing never seemed right, so instead you get a back lit leaf, photographed while on our bike ride.
