Corpus Clock

OH took me to the station and I caught the train to Kings Cross via St. Pancras.  I met No.1 and we got a quick coffee and pastry before boarding the train to Cambridge.  It was raining stair rods when I left but by the time the train chugged into London (do high speed trains chug?!) the skies had cleared and it was beautifully sunny.  We arrived in Cambridge and got a taxi to E's college, beautiful grounds and slightly out of town so off the tourist circuit.  She is 'living her best life' and getting involved in so many different activities and loving it.  We had a wander then brunch and then another wander before waiting ages for a bus back to the station and back home again.  Lovely for No.1 to spend time with her cousin as they have always had a good bond despite a 15 year age gap.  No.1 was reminiscing about her uni days and it brought back memories, although seems a long time ago now and lots of water under the bridge since then.

I have been to Cambridge a few times but OH has only had a flying visit so we must go back again.  He had been busy at home doing jobs and small job (replacing some beading in the cloakroom) turned into major job with grout in tiles leaking and plasterboard needing replacing?!

Good day (for me and No.1)
