Legs walking

A trip to Leeds today to see Lucy, who's still not well and living there until she feels able to go back to London, where she's supposed to be working until mid-December. The journey there was straightforward.  Popped into M&S Food on the station concourse in Leeds to buy some goodies to take. Then, on the way to the bus stop, stopped to take a photo of this sculpture, 'Legs Walking', by Kenneth Armitage, the renowned Leeds sculptor who died in 2002. It's quite eye-catching!

Lovely to spend a few hours chatting with Lucy,  and good to see where she's living. On the surface she looks OK, and though she insists that she's "fine" she clearly isn't, though hopefully she's on the way to recovery.

A much more 'interesting' trip back home; a domino-effect series of near misses (and late trains) meant that it took almost 3 hours to travel less than 30 miles. Arrived home in time for a late evening meal, tasty shepherds pie made by MrM.
