Great Woods Circular

We did a bit of work, this morning, and then we drove over to Minehead to drop the Minx off at Shiiine On.

My plan had then been to do a bit more work, pop out and do a run that the Minx had found for me while it was still light, and then return to my cube for a bit more work.

However, time ticked by until I ended up leaving at really the last possible moment, driving up into the Quantock Hills. Still, I arrived with an hour until the sun went down and I figured that was fine as it's a six mile route that looked pretty straightforward on the map.

Well of course I got lost. And there was only sporadic phone signal. But actually, I didn't go too badly wrong, and ultimately it was a lovely run. A little boogy in places for sure, and also quite alarming coming across two unattended horses on a bridalway.

But the mud and the occasionally stops to find my bearings meant that I was still out running at sunset, and arrived back at the car just as it was getting dark.

Still, six miles in the legs and a mostly enjoyable run!
