niche

In my "no lunch" lunch break, I got some Vitamin D, a little bit of exercise, lots of fresh air and a tiny slice of art appreciation.

Today's artist is Emma Varley, who was one of D's tutors at college. Her work in the Midsteeple niche was inspired by the book "Braiding Sweetgrass" and thoughts about climate change. 

The niches are curated by Denise and Mark Zydaglo and have their own Instagram page  (thenichegallery) where you can see the works of art which have filled them in the past.

The cafe wasn't as busy as usual, perhaps because of the wonderful weather, but it will soon be time for Christmas lunches and we will be putting the decorations up very soon :-)
