You Never Know…

what adventure awaits you. Our son and DIL arrived earlier than expected. Jamie has been here a couple times but this is Renee’s first visit. We’d just gotten them settled in when we had unexpected company from town. So we found ourselves entertaining two groups. Hubby decided to take Jamie and Renee for a discovery trip around the ridges on ATVs. They had not expected to be out in the cold temps so we had to “outfit” them with our warm clothing - coats, hats, gloves, boots, and a blanket. We had to record their WV outfits for posterity. They enjoyed the ride and hubby treated them to a quick drink at the private club where we go for wings. My sister made coffee and coffee cake for our other guests who’d already been out in the weather. They left once they’d warmed up. I made a dinner salad and my sister cleaned up the kitchen while we had the house to ourselves. We are making them crab manicotti Alfredo to go with the salad. I think they have really enjoyed the visit so far. Parker is trying to talk his father into investing in a similar farm if they can find one nearby. It may not take much arm twisting.
