November

A rather non-descript kind of day today - I feel like quoting Thomas Hood's poem 'November' -

No sun — no moon!
No morn — no noon —
No dawn — no dusk — no proper time of day.

No warmth, no cheerfulness, no healthful ease,
No comfortable feel in any member —
No shade, no shine, no butterflies, no bees,
No fruits, no flowers, no leaves, no birds! —
November!

That's not quite true - I have been watching the birds! Clogged up with a cold, so I spent the morning spying on the birds and watching André Rieu on YouTube!

Forced myself out after lunch and had a brief walk up to McCaig's Tower. Quite a good blue sky looking west - sorry Thomas Hood! - and some attractive clouds over Mull. My Blip's taken through one of the arches in the Tower - MV Loch Striven is plodding off on her short journey to Lismore.
