Ornamental Urning Potential
I was up early as usual this morning to take my brother up to the station for his commute up to London and I could see what was promising to be a rather spectacular sunrise, so after I got back home I headed straight back out on foot to try and capture it in all its glory. Unfortunately, however quickly I chased it it just kept disappearing over the nearest horizon.
I was feeling a little downcast on my walk back home until I noticed the eye-catching red leaves of a shrub in the Garden of Honour at the nearby Royal British Legion Village on the last leg of my stroll and when I crouched down to get a better shot the ornamental stone urns acted as a diverting backdrop and I could finally see the potential for an image. I used a bit of fill in flash to highlight those wonderfully vibrant leaves and observed that the early morning sun had created a slightly eerie glow around the urns.
It was not the image I intended to get but it was a reward for perseverance if nothing else! :-)
