Dark skies

This morning we went for a short walk to visit our local wildlife area via the recreation ground. We discovered the parish council has (at last !) planted a few specimen native trees on the edge of the playing field. There had been much discussion by the council over the tree planting but it's good to see they have  finally made a decision and got the job done. 
l was struck by how dark the sky looked above these beech trees near the rec. However,surprisingly, it did not result in any precipitation.  
We spent quite a bit of the day doing housework, prompted by the knowledge  my Cornish  sister is visiting us shortly!
