Snow surprise…
As we were expecting it.
Last night’s forecast predicted a fall of snow in the north east of Scotland with a section continuing down the east coast as far as Northumberland, so we woke up to a very pretty white landscape.
The owner of the cottage very kindly appeared first thing and cleared and salted the path to the cars. David, Adrian, Agnes and Lola went for a walk. They avoided the steep hill and stayed on the lanes.
Apparently the main roads are fine but the lanes are a bit treacherous. As we have to negotiate quite a lot of lanes from the cottage we decided to stay at the cottage.
Agnes and David ventured out to the local shop and returned with sausage rolls, cornish pasties, lasagne, mac and cheese and scones, all freshly made (the shop sells all local produce and makes their own food to sell from sandwiches to the stuff we bought.) Lunch was delicious :-)
So we’ve all had a lazy afternoon. I did a little Christmas painting, which is a better effort than yesterday. This evening’s plan is dinner, some tv then another pub quiz. I’m choosing a different buzzer! :-))
Dance away

And relax
