Diary of an Edinburgher

Bin Find No 643

If I thought it was a wee bit cold yesterday, today was even colder! We may have reached 1°... luckily there was no wind.

I popped to the surgery for another blood test, and then I took Archie round the Links. But I didn't go further, as it was really really cold and I realised I needed my hat that comes down over my ears.

I was listening to a sad podcast, and then I found a whole series of podcasts from the Flying Conchords, so I listened to them all afternoon. They're the fourth most popular band in New Zealand, who have had quite a lot of success in America (they did a Tv series) and they've been to the Edinburgh Festival a couple of times. We saw them by accident here at the festival, and have followed their career ever since.

Only trouble is, I have to be walking, or eating to stay awake. When I relax on the sofa, even though I'm loving listening, I fall asleep. I'm sure this is not normal. JR and Archie walked to Waitrose for yet another Click and Collect.

After featuring the Turd or the Walnut Whip yesterday - today it is officially  opened, and it’s a W Hotel and looks pretty spectacular.
