Birthday eclairs

They would probably not get me beyond the first week of Bake Off, but they tasted good.

These are the product of my wife’s wish yesterday for eclairs for her birthday instead of a cake. The odd shape d ones in the middle are meant to be her initials! Went down well as did the dinner I cooked.

In other news we got our tree today and it is now settling down before decoration. It was cut, apparently, just the other day so while fresh I wanted to get it into water quickly. Also the cold frosty nights will not be good for it as it is no longer rooted.

Those are my excuses!
