Happy Birthday Dan

It was extremely cold this morning, 19°F. We stayed in most of the day, watching birds who frequented the feeders. My sister and I cut up the turkey, froze some for soup and I made sandwich salad with the rest. After lunch, we started on our BIL’s birthday dinner. He had the day off until it was time to grill the steaks. He has a hard time not being busy but that is probably why he still acts relatively young. I made one of his favorites: coconut cake. We spoke with Kristen today. Her kids’ pediatrician says there is a new powerful virus from China that is wreaking havoc in the U.S., especially in the DC area. I also read about it in the on-line news. There are no tests yet available to detect it. So we figure that is what two of our families are down with. Kristen says her symptoms are much stronger than when she had COVID. Jamie and Kristen say several coworkers are also sick. Stay healthy folks. Sure hope we are not in for a bleak winter.
