At Battersea Power station
A busy day out in London. First a very quick trip to F & M already very busy at 10.30am. Interesting to see the Christmas Puddings ( big plastic ones) going up and down in the central staircase , accompanied by Christmas music. Did not buy anything as very expensive and long queues too.
Then met a friend at the Royal Academy and we went to see the Abramovic exhibition. I had read reviews and was curious about it…..very weird and some exhibits definitely not nice to see but I’m glad I did see it. Also a nice lunch in the cafe there which I did not realise is actually open to the public even if you are not going to an exhibition.
My friend had not been to see the refurbished Battersea Power Station so we went there for a look around. Surprisingly quiet there compared with the Piccadilly area which was packed and with the majority seemingly rich tourists ! By the time we came out it was dark and we saw the Christmas tree projection on the power station done by David Hockney on an iPad. (See extra) A quick refreshment stop at Megan’s restaurant before heading home.
Very chilly all day but I had dressed warmly and was too hot on the Victoria line tube and on the train home!
