Re-cycled sculpture

Woke this morning to see a thin covering of snow making the countryside look pretty and silent.

After I had fed the birds and broken the ice on the pond with a spade, I search the garden for a photo for the day. In a secluded corner I come across this African sculpture of a cockerel made from empty corn oil tins. I bought it locally several years ago and it has survived remarkably well, much better than many plants.

We have just watched ‘The Father” the Oscar winning film with Antony Hopkins, and it makes depressing viewing. He plays the part of an old man with dementia. This is a disease we all fear because there is no known cause and no cure.
