Roll With It

Brrrr

No coffee with Richard today, finished packing, coffee and toast and down town for the midday bus. I had twenty minutes to wait so another coffee. Arriving at the vehicle rental we had been allocated a Ford Kuga with 630 miles on the clock, very nice.
Home and car loaded, a couple of bacon and egg rolls each for Mrs S and I and we were on our way. The first hundred miles to Exeter were pretty uneventful but from then on it steadily got colder with less traffic. Mrs S and I alternated for three hour stints. At midnight it was around 0*, at around 1:00am it was -8*.
Motorway services by and large closed, coffee only available after 11:00pm we saw hardly a soul for seven hours and very little traffic and at midnight we were passing Lancaster, a little under half way.
