J the plasterer didn’t turn up today, as his van wouldn’t start and he had to get it going then drive to Christchurch.  He was most apologetic and has promised he’ll come on Sunday afternoon. 

We walked down to the Newcomers’ coffee morning, then back up the hill to home.  I made cracker biscuits, which I managed to bake until they were almost, but not quite, burnt because I always forget that this oven is a lot hotter.  We brought some semblance of tidiness to the house before our friends turned up.  We gave them the grand tour then walked down to the Victoria Lounge for a drink then to the Craftwork Brewery for another drink.  We walked back up the hill and chatted while MrMacD and I prepared supper.  It was late by the time we’d finished so we sent our friends to bed then cleaned up. 

It’s been a lovely social day.

I may not have a chance to check in on blips for a couple of days while our friends are with us.

MrMacD sewed some wildflower seeds in a patch of garden and they’re now flowering.  We also found some more peony flowers.
