On The Road Again

Getting set up for the first night of our pre-Christmas tour. Which is a posh way of saying that we’ve got a gig in Millom tonight, followed by a gig in Garstang tomorrow, before returning to Barrow on Boxing Day for a few home town gigs leading up to the New Years Eve spectacular.
It’s nice to have a proper stage, but it’s the smallest one we’ve been on for a while. Just about fitted everyone one but I have to be careful not to turn round too quickly otherwise I’ll brain either the drummer or the keyboard player with my bass!
I have a feeling it’s going to be a rowdy night. Millom has that sort of reputation anyway, and if you throw in the fact that it’s Black Eye Friday I reckon the crowd will be steaming by the end of the night. Probably a good job I had a decent workout in the gym this morning.

First set has gone down well, and it’s pretty crowded in here now - not the time to be wearing a Christmas jumper, as it’s getting quite warm on stage!
Just hoping it’s not too late a finish now, as it’s a long - and dark - drive back to Kendal. A day of doing nothing tomorrow before heading off to Garstang to do it all over again. Roll on Christmas Eve!
